Are ecosystems designed and organised or do we simply let life unfold? How do we find the balance between catering for what is emerging and what is planned? What is the role of the users and how can they get involved?
BBDW is spending the biennium 2022-23 listening to and articulating the ECO-SYSTEM of design in Bilbao-Bizkaia. The 2022 edition focused on ECO, on paying attention to the resonance of stakeholders’ voices and practices BBDW23 is now focusing on the idea of SYSTEM and proposes an exercise in strategic design and ecosystemic articulation, a search for patterns, adaptive action, connections, tensions and generative relationships.
